Introduction:

The Punjab Bureau of Statistics was founded back in 1957. It was part of the Government of Western Pakistan at that time. It was working under Department of Power, Irrigation & Development. It is currently working as the attached departmet of the Planning & Development. Its Head Office is located in Lahore. Bureau of Statistics is conducting Door to Door Socio-Economic survey of Punjab for establishment of PSER 2025 in all districts of the Punjab.

Available Positions:

Tehsil Monitor: 982 vacancies
Here we will discuss the Division and District wise allocation of seats

(1) Lahore Division: 279 vacancies

(Lahore:226,  Kasur:25,  Sheikhupura:19,  Nankana Sahib:09)

(2) DG Khan Division: 78 vacancies

(DG Khan:09,  Taunsa:10,  Muzaffar Garh:21,  Kot Addu:10,  Layyah:13,  Rajanpur:15)

(3) Sargodha Division: 59 vacancies

(Sargodha:27,  Khushab:09,   Mianwali:11,  Bhakkar:12)

(4) Multan Division: 86 vacancies

(5) Faisalabad Division: 137 vacancies

Education and Experience:

  • At least 2nd class M.A/M.Sc/BS/B.S (Hnrs.) or equivalent 16 years of education in any subject preferably in Statistics/Economics/Sociology/Social Work/Gender Studies
  • Proficiency in the use of IT equipment (Tablets/Computer)
  • The candidates having experience of any tablet-based survey will be preferred

Important Instructions:

  • About 05% additional workforce will be called for training, while for fieldwork final selection of Tehsil Monitor will be performance based, during the training session.
  • The number of days of fieldwork may decrease or increase depending upon the workload
  • Selection will be made on Domicile/Merit based, and shall be purely temporary and on daily wage basis and there will be no right of being permanent whatsoever
  • Final decision of the Authority shall not be challenged at any court/forum
  • Authority may terminate the contract of any candidate at any stage without any reason
  • The original documents with attested copies testimonials will be mandatory at the time of interview
  • Selected/Shortlisted candidates will be informed through SMS/Email for interview & the training
  • Candidates who got training and intentionally do not join fieldwork (when needed), shall not be paid any renumeration of training session at all
  • Minimum age required is 21 years
  • NOC is compulsory for the government employees
  • Successful candidates shall sign an agreement with BoS on e-stamp paper to complete the assigned task without withdrawal or abandonment until its successful completion
  • Every successful candidate must submit the e-stamp paper, issue in their name, of rupees 300/- on the first day of training.
  • Absence/Poor performance shall lead to the termination of contract
  • During the course of this purely temporary assignment, Department shall not be liable to pay any health/risk insurance to health/life of any candidate
  • No TA/DA will be admissible for the interview
  • The applications of those Tehsil Monitors whose services have been terminated on any ground from PSER survey will not be considered. 

Contract Period:

Contract period is 180 days. Candidaes will be hired on daily wage basis.
