In this post, we will discuss the latest commission jobs announced in the Pakistan Air Force (PAF)

Available Positions:

PAF has announced commission courses of two types

• Regular Course (After Intermediate)
• Short Service Commission Courses (After Graduation)

Regular Courses:

• 160 General Duty Pilot
• 106 Aeronautical Engineering
• 116Air Defence
• 35 Admin & Special Duties
• 18 Logistics

Now we will discuss their eligibility criteria one by one

(1) General Duty Pilot:

Age: 16-22 years as on 15 April 2026

Gender: Male/Female citizens of Pakistan

Marital Status: Unmarried

Height: 5ft 4 inches (163cm)

Eyesight: 6/6 each eye without glasses

Qualification:

A candidate must have passed with minimum 65% marls in aggregate in any of the following:

• F.Sc (Pre-Medical/Pre-Engineering/Computer Science
• A-levels with Physics Maths Computer Science/Biology
• F.Sc with Physics and any two subjects; Maths, Statistics, Computer Science and Biology
• Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Avionics /Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/ Instrumentation & Process Control/Telecommunication/Automation/Computer Information/Software

Training Period: 04 years

Degree: Award of BS degree in Aviation Management/ BE in Aerospace/ Avionics from College of Aeronautical Engineering

(2) Aeronauical Engineering:

Age: 16-22 years as on 15 April 2026

Gender: Male/Female citizens of Pakistan

Marital Status: Unmarried

Height: 

For Male: 5ft 4 inches (163cm)

For Female: 4ft 10 inches (147cm)

Qualification:

A candidate must have passed with minimum 65% marls in aggregate in any of the following:

• F.Sc Pre-Engineering, 
• F.Sc with Physics, Maths & Computer Science or A-levels with Physics Maths & Computer Science with equivalence of F.Sc certificate
• Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Avionics /Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/ Instrumentation & Process Control/Telecommunication/Automation/Computer Information/Software

Training Period: 04 years

Degree: Award of BE degree in  Aerospace/ Avionics

(3) Air Defence:

Age: 16-22 years as on 15 April 2026

Gender: Male citizens of Pakistan

Marital Status: Unmarried

Height: 5ft 4 inches (163cm)

Qualification:

A candidate must have passed with minimum 65% marls in aggregate in any of the following:

• F.Sc (Pre-Medical/Pre-Engineering/Computer Science

(1) General Duty Pilot Supplementary Course:

Qualification:

Any of the following:

• BS in Maths/Physics/Chemistry/Biology
• BS {With F.Sc/ICS/A level/IB (International Baccalaureate) background with physics as major subject)} Computer Science/IT/AI/Economics/Finance/Statistics/English or equivalent degree
• BE (All disciplines) / BS (Engineering all disciplines) or equivalent degree
• MBBS/BDS or equivalent degree

Note: Each qualification must be with minimum 60% marks/2.5/4 CGPA from a Pakistani/Foreign university recognized by HEC

Training Period: 02 years

(2) Education Branch:

Age: 20-29 years as on 15 April 2026

Gender: Male/Female citizens of Pakistan

Marital Status: Married/Unmarried

Height:

For Females: 4ft 10 inches (147cm)

Qualification:

• Maths: MS/M.Phil in Maths
• International Relations: MS/M.Phil in International Relations
• Artificial Intelligence: MS/M.Phil in Artificial Intelligence or Computer Science with AI speciality
• Management Sciences: MBA (18 years) MS/M.Phil in HRM/Project Management/Accounting &                                                  Finance
• Statistics: MS/M.Phil in statistics

Note: Each qualification must be with minimum 65% marks/2.7/4 CGPA from a Pakistani/Foreign university recognized by HEC

Training Period: 24 weeks

(3) I.T Branch:

Age: 20-26 years as on 15 April 2026

Gender: Male citizens of Pakistan

Qualification:

• BS/MS Computer Science, BS/BE/MS (IT) or BS/BE (Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Security) or BS/MS (Cyber Security, Data Science, AI Geo Infor Sys)
• BS/MS Computer & Info Science or BSc/BCS (Hons) in CS or BE in (Computer & Info Sys, CS) or BS/MS (Cloud Computing, Big Data, Data Analytics, High Performance Computing) or M.Sc (Computer Science)/ MCS or any other (Emerging/Evolving IT domains) with minimum 65% marks/2.7/4 CGPA from a Pakistani/Foreign university recognized by HEC

Training Period: 24 Weeks

(4) MET Branch:

Age: 20-26 years as on 15 April 2026

Gender: Male citizens of Pakistan

Marital Status: Married/Unmarried

Qualification:

• BSc/BS/BE/BCS (04 years) in Science Subjects (Physics/Math Compulsory)
• MSc/MS in Meteorology/Environmental Science/Physics/Maths

Training Period: 24 weeks

(5) Accounts Branch:

Age: 20-26 years as on 15 April 2026

Gender: Male citizens of Pakistan

Marital Status: Married/Unmarried

Height: 5ft 4 inches (163cm)

Rank: Flying Officer

Qualification:

• B.Com (4 years)/BBA Finance (4years)/BS Commerce/BS Accounting/BS Finance or equivalent 16 years education in Accounting, Finance or Commerce with minimum 65% marks/2.7/4 CGPA from a Pakistani/Foreign university recognized by HEC

Training Period: 24 weeks

(6) JAG (Legal) Branch):

Age: 20-30 years as on 15 April 2026

Gender: Male citizens of Pakistan

Marital Status: Married/Unmarried

Height: 5ft 4 inches (163cm)

Rank: Flying Officer

Qualification:

• LLB minimum 65% (for annual system) or 2.7/4 CGPA (for semester system) from a reputed Pakistani/Foreign university recognized by HEC
• Preference will be given to the candidates having LLM qualification and experience of minimum 02 years practices as legal practitioner

Training Period: 24 Weeks

• Final Medical at CMB Lahore
• Flying Aptitude Test for General Duty Pilot branches only
• Interview by AHQ Selection Board for CSC candidates only

Initial Test Pattern:

First portion of the test for all branches will be Intelligence Test

2nd portion will be academic

Academic portion will be as per following

For Candidates with Premedical background for permanent commission:

• English
• Physics

For Candidates with Pre-Engineering/ICS/DAE background for permanent commission:

• English
• Physics
• Maths

05 GDP Supplementary Course/136 CSC:

• Academic Test in relevant subject

Physical Test:

Physical Test will consist of following:

• 1 mile running in 08 minutes
• 15 Push-Ups in 02 minutes
• 20 Sit-Ups in 02 minutes
• 03 Chin-Ups in 02 minutes
