In this post, we will discuss the complete selection process of Pakistan Navy PN-Cadet
Introduction:
PN Cadet is the regular commission course in Pakistan Navy. It is offered twice a year. Both batches are termed as Alpha and Bravo batches respectively. A batch of PN-Cadet consists of 100-120 Cadets. Here we will briefly discuss the requirements of PN-Cadet course.
Gender:
Only Male candidates can apply for PN-Cadet course.
Age:
- 16 1/2- 21 Years for civilian candidates
- 17-23 Years for the serving personnel of armed forces.
Height & Weight:
- Height should be 5 feet 4 inches minimum
- Weight should be according to BMI (Body Mass Index)
Education Requirement:
Candidates who have secured atleast 60% marks in their Matric and F.sc or O/A Level with following subjects are eligible to apply for PN-Cadet course.
- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics
- Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science
- Physics, Mathematics, Statistics
- Candidates who are appearing in F.Sc Part-2 exams or waiting for Part-2 result with atleast 65% marks in Part-1 can also apply by providing a Hope Certificate duly signed by the Head of the Institute.
Note: Diploma Holders and F.Sc Pre-Medical (f they do not qualify additional mathematics in their F.sc or A level) Candidates are not eligible to apply for PN-Cadet Commission Course
Selection Process:

- Initial Computerized screening test
- Medical and Physical test of shortlisted candidates
- Initial Interview
- ISSB
- Final Medical
- Merit List
- Call Letters
Training and Rank:
Selected Candidates undergo a 2 years training at Pakistan Naval Academy Karachi. Upon successful completion of training, cadets are passed out as Midshipmen.
